Who was that?
Can you think of a better way to greet your employees attending a workshop on defending against AI generated threats then to prank them all by having the video keynote be an AI impersonator? That is exactly what Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes did with his election workers. Something to think about for your next partnership retreat? How better to create awareness and interest in generative AI? Read more at Security Awareness Training Blog: Arizona Election Workers Battle Against Deepfake Threats in New AI Defense Drill

Beyond Searchdome
We haven't had a good search engine battle in ages. Remember AltaVista? Yahoo? Bing and Google go back and forth but Google has been the winner for ages. Now we have OpenAI potentially entering the area. Ron Amadeo makes some interesting points: "Right now, ChatGPT can really only replace search queries that are questions. The primary reason Google Search is the No. 1 most visited website is not answers to questions; it's because many people use Google as their gateway to the Internet." Two may enter, but will only one leave? (Much as I like Mad Max, I suspect both will "leave," the question is how bloody with Google be at the end?) Lessons from Professor Ape
I haven't seen the new movie yet, but I did see several of the reboot prequels being advertized on TV. To me you can't get better than the icon performance of Charlton Heston. From
the first time he shouts to the closing clip
at the Statue of Liberty, nothing is better. (Although the Simpson's musical is classic in its own way).
I like his comments on the bit from the opening to the movie, "Their hubris, exaggerated pride or self-confidence, may have brought them to the top of their organization. Once there, that hubris became a liability. They began to make unwise decisions. They thought they were untouchable. Then they fell." I also like the lesson from Koro, "You know what? There will always be much to learn as a leader. We should constantly grow our expertise." I think If I were to stop learning, I would die.
