- In a case series from Wuhan, 36% of patients exhibited neurologic symptoms, ranging from headaches to impaired consciousness.
- Another case series from Wuhan found that only 20% of patient who died had been intubated, suggesting that lack of respirators may have played a major role in the high case fatality rate.
- An analysis of GPS data from Google found that state-wide stay at home orders had by far the most consistent and strongest effect when compared to other social distancing measures.
- Guidance based on hand washing will do little to help the two billion people who lack access to hand washing facilities including 50% of the population of sub-Saharan Africa.
