Research News
A slow science news day includes discussions of case fatality rates and age, the impact of social distancing on incidence rates, and good news for patients over 97.
- An analysis of differences in case fatality rates (CFR) among countries suggests that differences in the age of those infected may explain much of the differences in crude CFR's.
- A time series study found a decrease in the growth rate in the number of cases of COVID-19 began 4 days after the introduction of statewide social distancing.
- It's not all bad for the elderly A brief cases series report describes three 98-year-old patients, a 101-year-old, and a 104-year-old who all recovered and returned home after treatment for COVID-19.

- What's Next? Curves are starting to flatten but that success is only happening because of the measures we have in place. We have many more corners to turn until we have a vaccine..
- Covid19- Ahead of the Curve.
