if at first you don't succeed, PI, PI again.
John Antill has a great post on failure. Some very famous people failed AND embraced it!
Soichiro Honda said, "My biggest thrill is when I plan something and it fails. My mind is then filled with ideas on how I can improve it." Henry Ford said, "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." John Stresses the Army's use of After Action Reviews. It's a "no-blame approach" to review, asking, "What was expected to happen? What actually occurred? What went well and why? What can be improved and how?" A more simplified version, "Roses and Thorns" or "Red Light/Green Light," is used in Boy Scouts to teach young scouts how to improve. If you've not using After Action Reviews on ALL your projects, you should be. Read more at REAL KM: We have already tried that!

the worst is imPlied communIcation
We all need to communicate effectively to interact. Michael Hyatt lays out three sins of communications to avoid. First up is no communication. Second is garbled communication and his last point is implied communication. While all are to be avoided, I think the last is biggest communication sin. mid? PandemIc show
Now that Stephen Embry mentions it, I believe every instance of LegalWeek and its previous incarnations I've been to in New York, it has indeed snowed. His observations include: expensive suits, "Lots of 20 somethings guzzling liquor," a possible fight, fewer vendors, and dig at ILTA on the way it treated journalists last year. Again I wonder whether our isolation has reduced our expectations. Be sure to read more at TechLaw Crossroads: It's Not LegalWeek Unless It Snows
